The Magnetic Field is the space or area around the magnet that attracts iron or steel. The energy of the magnet or magnetic energy that attracts iron or steel is invisible to the human eye. Through the use of the iron filings, it is possible to view the Magnetic Field by seeing the pattern the iron filings take around the magnet. It is easy to see that the magnetic energy is concentrated at the poles of a magnet.
